Holy Cow! an Indian Adventure by Sarah Macdonald

Sarah Macdonald, an Australian journalist, gives up a job she loves in Sydney to follow her fiance to India where he’s posted by ABC news in 2000.  During her stay in India, Sarah survives serious illness, loses her hair, gets married, and ultimately decides to maintain her sanity and sense of purpose by exploring Indian religions, spirituality, culture and geography.  At once hilarious, sobering, respectful, and irreverent, Sarah’s memoir enriches, educates and entertains.  The audio version is beautifully read by Kate Hosking.

I am actually reading it at the moment and am having difficulty putting it down. It is hilarious, educative and reality depicting facts.
